Story

A lonely boy's adoring clay creation comes to life.

This short film was born from an idea I had a little over a year ago. I thought the idea and the script lended very well to animation, specifically claymation. It's a culmination of several of my passions: horses, sculpture, animation, art design, and lighting. I knew that it had to be done through this medium, and that the puppets—the horse in particular—had to be made of clay. This short film was completed over the course of four months. My brother helped me build the stop motion set structure and the puppets' armatures, and from there I spent several hours a week shooting and stitching the images together as I went.
